Designed for maintenance technicians, the TLGU 10 uses ultrasonic technology to improve manual relubrication. The intuitive device connects to a grease gun and helps maintenance personnel relubricate rolling bearings with precisely the right amount of lubricant. The device effectively prevents over- and under-lubrication and can help extend bearing life. The TLGU 10 is suitable for a wide range of bearing applications (electric motors, pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and others).

Ultrasonic Sensor Improves Maintenance Practice During Relubrication

Although relubrication is crucial for the service life of rolling bearings, it is often not performed according to objective criteria, but rather based on experience. TLGU 10 ensures that the bearing is supplied with the right amount of lubricant at the right time. Relubrication with this practical device thus becomes a condition-based measure.

The user-friendly unit works with a robust ultrasonic sensor designed for difficult conditions. The measurements are reliable and reproducible. The sensor monitors the noise when lubricant is added to the bearing. When the TLGU 10 is connected to a grease gun, the maintenance technician can monitor the refilling noise live via headphones. The noise changes dramatically as soon as the correct amount of lubricant has been added. For additional assistance, the noise level is also displayed on the color display.

The combination of the audible signal and the display helps the technician quickly and accurately refill the required amount. Insufficient lubrication can cause premature bearing failure and facilitate the penetration of contaminants into the bearing. Overlubrication (which wastes expensive lubricant) can also lead to serious complications. Both underlubrication and overlubrication can shorten bearing service life.
