SKF flow limiters SP / SMB

The volume flow of the main line is to be divided into parallel individual volume flows and these are to be limited as required and kept constant.

The volume flow generated is pressure-compensated and also almost independent of viscosity. The volume flow of the flow limiter can be set in stages using exchangeable plug-in nozzles. This enables a subsequent adjustment of the volume flows (eg when converting the system). The volume flow can be monitored by a signal transmitter or piston detector (can also be retrofitted).

In progressive systems for oil, volume limiters can replace the main metering device.

Areas of application

  • Circulating oil lubrication systems
  • Paper machines or other heavy machinery
